Mark Wiens is an American YouTuber and food vlogger known for his street food videos, and he gained fame through his self-titled YouTube channel with more than 8.54 million subscribers. Mark was born on 26 February 1986 in Phoenix, Arizona. He and his family relocated to France when he was five years old, and he spent his first year of school there. He is no longer fluent in French. He relocated to the Democratic Republic of Congo, where he spent 3.5 years. He was educated at home.

He moved to Nairobi, Kenya, when conflict broke out in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. He went to school in Kenya for eight years, graduating from high school. He returned to the United States and completed a four-year degree in Global Studies at Arizona State University. He went back to work full-time and began selling items on eBay. He started his YouTube channel on 3 February 2003. The most viewed video on his YouTube channel titled “Extreme Chinese street food JACUZZI CHICKEN and market tour in Kunming” that video got more than 25 million views.

He had some cash from gratulating since working and chose to travel to South America. He spent 6 months in South America before deciding to go to Bangkok and travel across South Asia for 6 months till he ran out of money. He returned to Bangkok and obtained a one-year contract to teach English there. He is not interested in teaching English, but it is a valuable experience for him. He took blogging very seriously throughout that year and put in a lot of effort since he knew he wanted to establish something so he wouldn’t have to teach English again. He began freelance work and continued to write and work on certain web projects while doing so.
