Matt Stonie is an American competitive eater and YouTuber. He is well known for his food challenges, akin to Furious Pete and Epic Meal Time, in which he tries to consume as many different types of food as possible in the smallest amount of time. He holds several world records, including eating more than 22 McDonald’s Big Macs in less than 22 minutes. His real name is Matthew Kai Stonie, and he was born on 24 May 1992 in San Jose, California. He has a YouTube channel with more than 15.2 million subscribers. His ancestors are Japanese, Czechoslovak, and Lithuanian. He attended Evergreen Valley High School in San Jose, California, and graduated with honors. Morgan Stonie, Stonie’s younger brother, is frequently involved in the production of his challenges uploaded to his YouTube channel.

Stonie competed in the 2019 challenge for the ninth time on 4 July 2019 and finished fourth behind Joey Chestnut’s 71, Darr Breeden’s 50, and Geoffrey Esper’s 47. From 2016 to the present, Stonie’s ranking has fluctuated, with him reaching Rank Number 2 in 2016, Rank Number 3 in 2017, Rank Number 4 in 2018, and presently Rank Number 3 in 2019.
